"…Tanya Ury examines the connection between fashion and politics, between fashion and uniforms, by taking the fashion company Hugo Boss as an example. In the placing of Boss advertisements together with, for example, a newspaper article about forced labourers in Metzingen, where Boss produced SA (Storm Troopers), SS and Hitler Youth uniforms during the Third Reich, not only does the slogan "The darker side of Hugo", that advertises a man's cologne, gain a whole new meaning, but the military-type flagon of Boss' first Eau de Toilette, with this knowledge has to be seen in a quite different light…"
