Das Konzert SONGS WITH WORDS wurde am 13.7.2012, im Kunstraum St. Michael am Brüsseler Platz in Köln präsentiert. Es umfasste
toned poems: Tanya Ury (Gedichte auf Englisch & Deutsch), Kasander Nilist (Kontrabass & Tonarbeit), 2012 und frei improvisierte Musik: Gernot Bogumil (Trompete), Kasander Nilist (Kontrabass & Tonarbeit), Hans Salz (Percussion), Peter Worringer (E-Gitarre), featuring Tanya Ury (on a mat appear - lautquälerei, improvisierte Gedichte: größtenteils Englisch & Deutsch).

Die an diesem Konzept mitwirkenden Musiker sind allesamt in der in Köln und in Düsseldorf sehr lebendigen Szene der frei improvisierten Musik aktiv. Republikweit einzigartig sind die in beiden Städten offenen Sessions für frei improvisierte Formen der Musik: Improvisatorium – Köln & Sommer-/Wintersession – Düsseldorf.

Nachdem sie ihre konkrete Poesie entwickelt unternahm Tanya Ury eine Projekt zu improvisierter Poesie mit Ton-Intensität und Wortspielerei.

Im Stil und Absicht sind sie „konkrete Poesie“, eine Kollektion aus durcheinander geworfenen, abstrakten Gedanken, die alle zusammen, Alltag und Gemüt der Künstlerin reflektieren. Es ist hervorzuheben, dass diese Poesie improvisiert ist und in einer Art "Écriture Automatique" sofort niedergeschrieben wurde.

Tanya Urys geschriebene Poesie könnte man als „konkret“ bezeichnen: wegen des visuellen Design beim Betrachten und des unkonventionellen Klangs beim Aufsagen derselben – die Texte gewinnen dadurch Dimensionen jenseits der gängigen Wort-Bedeutung.

Auch andere Kunstarbeiten Urys lassen sich als „visuelle Poesie“ verstehen. Moving Message 1992, beinhaltet ein LED-Display mit den Wörtern: you are why; wrestlewithyourangel 2001 ist ein Neonleuchtzeichen, das zusammen mit dem Neonzeichen neonazi 2001 angefertigt wurde; der Titel eines Photo-Doppel-Porträts lesser is me more or less 2003 spielt auf den Namen von Lesser Ury an den deutschen Post-Impressionisten, sowie auf den Titel eines weiteres Doppel-Portäts or else 2007, der auf die deutsche Autorin Else Ury deutet. Der Titel eines dritten Porträt-Photos Beelzebularin 2005 entschlüsselt sich als Anagram des biblischen „Bezalel Ben Uri“. half dimensional - semi detached 2010 schließlich kombiniert das erste der half dimensional poems mit der Photographie semi detached.
